Freddy Wayne Woody

On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Freddy Wayne Woody went home to be with our Lord, leaving a void that his family and friends will not be able to fill. He was loving, kind, patient, and full of grace and compassion. Freddy was born in Welch, West Virginia to Garnett and Betty Woody. Freddy cherished not only his family but his friends as well. From an early age, Freddy had a passion for driving trucks. He spent his life driving many millions of miles as a long-distance truck driver. He loved listening to his bluegrass music, especially his Sunday morning church hour. When he was home, he loved his grill and could not go without one, even for one day. He also had a great passion for his Harley Davison motorcycles and vintage cars.

Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, Garnett and Betty Woody, his two brothers, Richard and Jesse Woody and his niece Stephanie Rife. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, his devoted sisters, Patty McPherson (Jim) and June Rife (Gary), his cherished nieces and nephews, Cathy Austin, Robbie VanAernam (Sharon), Kim Raney-Rapponeau (Alex), Jessica Copes, Christopher Woody, Jessie Woody, Richard Woody, Jamie Rife, and Donna Rife. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Clifford Hawkins (Janet), his sister-in-law Mary Hawkins, his brother-in-law Aubrey Hawkins (Valerie) and many treasured nieces and nephews, Justin Hawkins, Ava Hawkins, Mason Hawkins, Jonathon Hawkins, Danielle Hawkins, Nick Kiernan (Dionna), Jennifer McGuire (Joe), Dylan McGuire, Damian McGuire, Janelle Staranowicz (AJ) and many more great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving cousins, Doodle Bug Kendrick (Sharon), Gay Petrock (Jack), Pam McTeague (Jim), Dot Ridgeway, Ron Hicks and many, many treasured friends, all who will never forget the love he brought to our lives.

A visitation for Freddy will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12:00 PM, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701. A graveside committal will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery, 1014 Ridgeview Road, Brightwood, VA.
