Geoffrey Green

Geoffrey Aylor Green, age 24, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, at UVA Hospital, Charlottesville, VA. Geoffrey was born September 2, 1987, to Allen Hunter Green and Peggy Louise Mackison. He worked for the Town of Culpeper in the Waste Water division and at the Culpeper County Airport as a Line-Tech; loved being active with Brandy Station VFD for past eight years; volunteered at Culpeper Regional Hospital; achieved Eagle Scout after twelve years, starting as a tiger cub; and was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving Geoffrey is his father, Allen H. Green of Culpeper, VA, mother, Peggy Louise Green of Stafford, VA, brother, Matthew (Rachel) of Fort Knox, KY, grandmother, Sally Mackison of Brandy Station, VA, and his niece, Olivia Candace Green of Fort Knox, KY.

He was preceded in death by grandparents; Robert Hunter Green and Martha Aylor Green, as well as Verelle Mackison.

A memorial service will be held in the Charter Hall of Brandy Station VFD, 19601 Church Road, Brandy Station, VA on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sandy Martin officiating with a time of fellowship immediately following the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Brandy Station VFD, P.O. Box 19, Brandy Station, VA 22714 and/or the National Capital Area Counci, BSA, F.O.S., Piedmont Troop 196, Marriott Scout Service Center, 9190 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814-3897.
