Geraldine Curtis Shaw

Geraldine Curtis Shaw, 73, of Culpeper, VA, passed away in her residence Tuesday, April 17, 2013. Mrs. Shaw was born in Culpeper County to Edwin A. Curtis and Alien Bowers Curtis July 17, 1939; worked at the Culpeper Farmer’s Co-op and retired from the Department of Agriculture; was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church, where she served as Church Treasurer and she was an animal lover.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband of 54 years, Phillip Shaw of Culpeper; her sons, David Shaw and his wife Sharon and Edwin Shaw and his wife Diane all of Culpeper; her grandchildren, Christina, Preston, Christopher and Jennifer Shaw, all of Culpeper; her step-brothers; Thomas “Red” Jenkins, Tom “Jr.” Jenkins, William “Billy” Jenkins and Frank Jenkins, all of Culpeper. She is preceded in death by her parents and a step-brother J.W. Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon Forbes conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
