Obituary of Helen Jackson Lee
Helen Jackson Lee, age 87, of Culpeper, VA, passed away April 29, 2018, at her residence. Born March 14, 1931, to Clyde Lee Jackson and Henrietta Hackley Jackson, Helen spent her life as a homemaker and an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith (Madison, VA congregation). Surviving Helen are her three sons, Franklin David Lee of Naples, FL, Ronald Emil Lee of San Diego, CA, Ken Garnett Lee of Culpeper, VA, one granddaughter, Jennifer Dunn Williams and one great grandson Donovan Alden Williams, both of Gaithersburg, MD, sister, Henrietta Marie Ferris and her husband Russell of Culpeper, VA, brother, Thomas Jackson and his wife Laris of Richmond, VA, numerous nieces, Tricia Ferris Wilson and her husband Jacob and two children of Newport News, VA, Valerie Jackson Gilmore and her husband Edward and three daughters of Richmond, VA, Virginia Broadway of Washington, D.C., Shirley Miller of Manassas, VA, Gardenia Harris of Richmond, VA, Margaret Lee Yousef of Alexandria, VA, Arnita Lawson and Doris Lawson, both of Culpeper, VA, and, Lillian Mae Williams of Lake of the Woods along with many other cousins and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Helen’s husband Frank Luke Lee, son, Clyde Jackson Lee, granddaughter, Cicely Rene Joy, brothers, David, Clyde and Beaurae Jackson, and sisters, Maggie Mae Jackson, Viola Carpenter, Carrie Hearns, Affie Jackson and Eleanor Hickerson preceded her in death. Helen Lee was a graduate of George Washington Carver HS in Culpeper, VA. She also touched the lives of many young people in this community in a very positive way. In years past, she was a baby sitter for many local youngsters. They referred to her as "Mama Helen". Memorial services will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at 12 noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15103 Rixeyville Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.
