Henri Robert DeMaire

Henri Robert Demaire, 86, of Culpeper, VA went to be with the Lord September 27, 2021 surrounded by his family. Henri was born November 25th, 1934 in Central Falls Rhode Island to Julien and Julianne Demaire.

Henri was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and served in the Korean War. Aside from his military service, Henri was a hard working groundskeeper and maintenance worker at several companies in the area, and retired from Culpeper County Public Schools.

He was a person of great faith; a member of the Culpeper Christian Fellowship; and enjoyed time spent with his family, studying history, and watching the New England Patriots football team.

Mr Demaire is survived by his sister, Lillian Demaire, his children, Daniel Demaire, Desiree Boyer, Karen D. Sawyer, David Demaire and Victoria Ann Demaire; his grandchildren, Leslie Chumley, Joshua Sawyer, Gabriele Boyer and Emmanuel Boyer and his great-grandchildren, Kyle Chumley, Lillian Faith Chumley, Sawyer Chumley, and Ava Sawyer. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Peggy Demaire, his brother Roger Demaire, his brother in law Joseph Poissant, a son Jonathan Demaire and a grandson Christopher Boyer.

Interment will be private in the Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA. Memorial contributions should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on behalf of his son Jonathan.
