
Horace W. Stallings I, 88, died, Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Culpeper Health and Rehab Center in Culpeper, VA. Horace was the son of Annie Ruth Batchelor and Cleveland Stallings of Nash County, NC. Horace owned and operated Stallings Flower Co. in Culpeper and later worked for Old Dominion Manufacturing as a draftsman. He was a charter member of the Culpeper Jaycees.
Besides his parents, Horace is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy June Boldridge Stallings and his brother, James E. Stallings. He is survived by his son, H. Wilson Stallings II of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, John Stallings and his wife, Liz; Jamie Stallings and his wife, Jocie, all of Culpeper; and Jenna Stallings of Elk City, OK. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Thomas Stallings, Jake Stallings, Cameron Sheads, Jonathan Stallings and Wyatt Stallings; step-grandson David Teitelbaum and step great-grandchildren Stacy, Daniel, Bryan, and Eric Teitlebaum.
A grave side service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the June Boldridge Stallings Scholarship in Nursing, Germanna Community College Education Foundation, Inc, 2130 Germanna Highway, Locust Grove, VA 22508-9906.
