My heartfelt condolences on the passing of my dear friend. We first met when I taught in Culpeper, Virginia, and later continued our journey together as colleagues at Courtland and Chancellor High Schools. Over the years, our friendship grew into something truly special—one I will always cherish.

You never failed to keep in touch, remembering birthdays and special occasions with your thoughtful messages.  You will be missed, my friend. May you continue to rest in heavenly peace.

Mr. Boyd was one of my favorite people I have ever met. He was my history and then AP history teacher at Chancellor High school. I was in his class when he wheeled the TV in on 9/11. I hid in his recycling bin and popped out which he secretly found amusing. He called me “Jen” the first year I had him for history and refused to call me anything else the second year….even when there was already a Jen in class this time. (He called her Jennifer even though everyone else called her Jen.) 

After I too became a teacher, I realized how magical he was to me. I visited him each year I had a teaching inservice. Without fail, he always had a problem with the school limited the amount of boxes he had in his room. “They say it’s a fire hazard but I don’t think it is.” 

I am crying writing this because the world is a bit less magical now. I am so thankful he was my teacher.

Sending condolences to the family, was so sorry to hear this sad news. Harold was my dear friend and we enjoyed teaching together at Courtland and Chancellor High Schools for thirty years. He was loyal, caring, and always ready to help others…I will treasure many fond memories of our friendship.

It deeply saddens me that such a vibrant soul has left to return home.  You were my government teacher, my mentor, you wanted all your students to know our rights an looking back i see how important that was and the impact it made in my life and people like me. I remember when I meet you in 2013 I walked into your classroom an you made direct eye contact with me like you knew me, the first thing you said to me was "is your mom Stephanie" an my jaw dropped. You had taught my mother 16 years  prior and after teaching my mom you recognized me in seconds of entering the room. What were the odds. Im thankful for all your stories an insights an you will truly be missed. Im praying for you an your loved ones. REST EASY MR BOYD  🙏🏽 ❤️

Mr Boyd, where do i began your laughters and smiles and hugs where the best even though i had bad days you still made me smile and laugh. Even when you allowed me to be in your classroom you always told me that you were be proud of me every time. I can not believe we are losing another Charger family. But i am truly going to be missed in our forever and long terms hearts! You will always be a part of my heart. You were funny and amazing, i know your family will always miss their dad and your amazing wife she was the most kindness woman i could ever met. Prayers to the Boyd family. 😭🙏🏻 This doesn’t seem so real but it is. It breaks my heart to see you go, but i know god is taking good care of you . You will always be proud of me and never forget that .  Thats would you always tell me.
