James Welwood Swank

Rev. James Welwood Swank, 90, of Culpeper, VA passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the UVa Culpeper Hospital. Rev. Swank was born in Leechburg, PA, August 26, 1925, to Archibald J. Swank and Caroline Mahaffey Swank; served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and served his Lord for 40 plus years in the ministry.

Surviving Rev. Swank is his wife of 65 years, Lorraine Swank of Culpeper, VA; his children, Kerri Evans of Culpeper, VA and Rev. Glenn J. Swank of Barnegat, NJ; his grandchildren, Kristin Wylie of Spotsylvania, VA. Kelly Rhinehart of Culpeper, VA and Emmalee Swank of Barnegat, NJ and his great-grandchildren, Zachary Draper of Harrisonburg, VA and Lauren Wylie of Spotsylvania, VA .

Funeral services will be Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with interment in the New Culpeper National Cemetery, Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Military honors will be provided by the V. F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
