John (Johnny) Richard Nicholson, 57, of Richmond, VA and formerly of Culpeper, VA passed away in Richmond, February 29, 2012. Johnny was born to John William Nicholson and Betty Davenport Nicholson in Charlottesville, VA, December 6, 1954; graduated from Culpeper County High School in 1973, having played football and other sports and was a former member of the Culpeper County Fire Department. Johnny was employed as an automobile technician.
Surviving Johnny is his son John William Nicholson; daughters, Lindsey Marie Nicholson and Kaitlin Nicholson; his sister, Nancy Elizabeth Nicholson and the children of his late wife Mary Beth Blosser Nicholson, Allison Gayheart, Andrew “Drew” Gayheart and Cole Gayheart . His parents also precede him in death.
A memorial service will be held in the Culpeper United Methodist Church, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Orndorff conducting the service.
