Joyce Ryder Martin

Joyce Ryder Martin, age 74 of Culpeper, VA, passed away at Novant Health UVA Culpeper November 28, 2022. Born December 27, 1947 to Robert Nelson and Lorelle Peacher Ryder, Joyce was a sales clerk at Dukes General Store for many years, she loved reading and doing jigsaw puzzles, loved watching Jeopardy and spending time with her family. Surviving Joyce are her children Tonya Smith and fiancé Eddie Ellington of Brandy Station, VA, Brian “Boo” Cooper and his wife Mary of Rapidan, VA, Troy Cooper and his wife Gina of Richardsville, VA, her grandchildren Jessica Pritt, Megan Cubbage, Justin Byars, Ashleigh Cooper, KristyOnna Smith, Devin Cooper, Austin Cooper, Mckenzie Cooper and Brice Cooper, great-grandchildren Reagan Pritt, Chase Cubbage, Brayden Cooper, Riley Cooper, Jase Cooper, J.P. Walsh, Jordan Cooper, Riley Byars and Taliah Cooper. In addition to her parents, her husband BJ Martin, brothers Franklin Ryder and Robert “Fuzzy” Ryder and one son Steven “T-Paul” Cooper precede Joyce in death. The family will receive friends Monday, December 5, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Andy Wynham officiating. Interment will follow in the Culpeper National Cemetery, New Grounds, East Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are Justin Byars, Austin Cooper, Kirk Ellington, Chuck Handlowich, Leonard Peters, Daniel Yowell
