Lewis Elliott Hoffman

Lewis Elliott Hoffman, Sr., 77, of Culpeper, VA passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Prince William Hospital, Manassas, VA. Mr. Hoffman was born in Culpeper to George Nalle Hoffman and Rayburn Dodson Hoffman March 25, 1941, served his country in the U.S. Navy, retired from the Town of Culpeper and enjoyed fishing, football (especially the Cowboys) and NASCAR (“48”).

Surviving Mr. Hoffman is his son, Lewis E. (Lewdy) Hoffman, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jacob Hoffman, Amber Hoffman and Joseph “Little Man” Hoffman; his brothers, Tommy Hoffman (Joyce) and Donald W. Hoffman (Barbree) and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Lawrence “Corn Cob” Hoffman and his brother-in- Christ John Henry Butler.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA with interment to follow in Culpeper Naional Cemetery (new grounds), Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
