Lillian Ann Sophia

October 17, 1939January 2, 2019

On January 2, 2019 Lillian Ann Sophia went peacefully to paradise. She will be remembered as a family rock, a steadfast shoulder and the love of the family’s lives. Surviving Ann is her loving, close-knit family: Gina, Brian, Laurie, Taryn, Ty, Merci, Tashana, Cedrick, Tynajiah, Trey, Makhi, Lois, Ninan and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Sophia, Jr., daughter, Tina Sophia and granddaughter, Tabatha Scott. May they all be at peace now together in Glory. A graveside funeral service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, Va at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 with interment following the service. Fond memories of Ann’s life and condolences may be shared by visiting clore-english. The Sophia family has entrusted Clore-English Funeral Home with these arrangements.

Gina, so very, very sorry to hear of Anne’s passing and for your loss! I always loved to talk to her, she was always laughing . No one laughed more or had better times than Aunt Daisy , Mama, Aunt Weda and Aunt Mary. It was passed down because Anne was the same way. I guess they are all laughing together now in heaven.

I remember so many wonderful times visiting with Aunt Ann and Uncle Marshall in Culpeper. They were always welcoming and hospitable to anyone who showed up at the door. Sitting on the carport looking back at the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, laughing and reminiscing. "Ohhhh honey!" she would say when starting to emphasize a point or start a good story. Ann was caring and giving to all who were fortunate enough to know her. We will all miss her so much.
