

Marjorie Lucille Anderson, aged 93, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Strasburg, Virginia. She was born on October 14, 1932, in Vermont. She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin Anderson (married 54 years,) her parents Walter & Marjorie Bailey, and her three brothers Everett, Claire, & Phillip.
Marjorie is survived by her son Craig Anderson, her granddaughter Amanda Anderson, and her four Great Granddaughter’s – Ayda, Violet, Mariyah, and Wisteria Marjorie AKA “Baby Margie,” along with many in laws, nieces, and nephews.
Marjorie was an award-winning artist specializing in colored penciled illustrations. She was also an avid mushroom hunter and published her book, A Mushroom Experience to include research and hand drawings of each mushroom finding.
Along with many things she was a certified beautician, very talented at crocheting/sewing, a great speller who enjoyed a game of scrabble, would often sing, and was an excellent cook. Her most used saying was “For Goodness Sake.”
A visitation will be held at Clore-English Funeral Home, located at 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia, on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 am.
A graveside committal will take place at Culpeper National Cemetery, New Grounds, 501 East Chandler Street, Culpeper, Virginia, at 12:00 pm on November 12, 2025.
Marjorie Lucille Anderson's final resting place will be at Culpeper National Cemetery.
