Mary Belinda Berry

Mary Belinda Berry, 73, of Orange, VA and formerly of Culpeper, VA passed away April 27, 2025, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Belinda was born February 25, 1952, in Washington, DC to Ralph Leroy Whalen Sr. and Mary Pruett Whalen. Belinda was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church and worked as a registered nurse.

Surviving Belinda are her daughter, Savannah Jacobs and her husband Todd; her brother, Ralph L. Whalen, Jr. and his wife Sue; her nieces, Cindy Whalen and Jennifer Gigliotti as well as Jennifer’s husband Jerrod; and her grand-nephews, Jake and Jackson Gigliotti.

In addition, she is survived by her ex-husband and daughter’s father, Michael Berry, his wife Viveca, and their children Adalynn and JJ. She also leaves her aunt, Eva Pruett, as well as several cousins, Stephanie Pruett, Katherine Pritchett, Kathy’s daughter Tori, and Tori’s children, Addison and Avery, David Gattis, his wife Eileen and their children Caitlyn and Ryan, and Melissa Maloney, her husband Dan, and their children Conner and Megan. Preceding her in death are her aunts and uncle, Joan Moxley, Jennifer Gattis, and John Pruett, as well as her parents, Ralph and Mary.

Funeral services will be held at Clore-English Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Jon Morton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00a.m. in the Funeral Home.

It has been suggested that those attending this celebration of life wear ocean and/or beach colors, honoring Belinda with her love of the ocean.
