

Mary Russell Grimsley "Rusty" Kenyon, 72, of Richmond, VA died on April 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Culpeper, VA on May 27, 1941. She is a graduate of Culpeper High School. She never changed her membership, and is still a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church. She also attended West End Assembly of God in Richmond, VA. She was one of the Limbo Trio (later changed to "The Virginians"), who were a recording folk music group who recorded for Columbia Pictures in the 60's. She loved gardening and golf.
Rusty is survived by her son, William L. Kenyon and wife Amy, her daughter, Karen Kenyon Mitchell and husband Robert (Mitch), granddaughter, Morgan Riley Mitchell, and grandson, William L. Kenyon Jr., all from Richmond VA. She is survived by her brother, Bob Grimsley and wife Joyce of Catawba, VA and sister, Ann Grimsley of Culpeper. She is survived by her grandchildren; Tiffany Costa and daughter Audrey Costa, Robert Mitchell, III and his wife Nao, and children Kota and Shunta, and Amber Mitchell. Those also surviving are her extended family; The Bielke Family who are the brothers, sisters, and families of her best friend of 50 plus years, Martha Bielke Thompson (Tink).
The Memorial Service will be held at the Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA, 11190 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper, VA, on May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her parents, Milton and Frances Grimsley.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent in memory of Rusty to the local National Kidney Foundation, 1622 E. Parham Road, Richmond VA, 23228.
