Dear Pattie,
So sorry about Bob. I just found out so I apologize for the late message. Bob was a great man. We met him as our real estate agent, where he did us so well on the sale of our lots. He was a true professional. Then we connected over our love of wood and art. He was excited to be working with wood again and I helped him plane that huge walnut slab of wood as shown in the attached picture at my house. Rita and I enjoyed dining with you both and visiting you at your home. I had intended to get together with you both at the last flute playing event but at the last minute decided I couldn't make it. What a shame I missed out seeing him one last time. Our prayers are with you now. I am richer for having known him, this pure and gentle man of integrity and honesty and one who loved life and people, and was a true artist.

Dear Pattie,
I am so sorry to hear this. I think we all met when you first came to Culpeper--maybe at the Museum one day? You both were so supportive--I well remember Bob's enthusiasm for Salubria, photography, and birding. I was actually thinking about you, having seen a notice for the Flute Circle. I've missed seeing you both, send my deepest sympathy.

Pattie and Matthew, I was a friend of Bob's in high school and college at UB. We each pursued law enforcement careers but were not in contact for over 40 years. Recently, we discovered each other's presence in Virginia and began to meet monthly for lunch. We both enjoyed reminiscing about common friends and classmates, and catching up on each other's lives. Bob was a special person with a loving, compassionate personality and I am so glad that we reunited in friendship before his passing. I wish for you both peace and comfort at this time, and many years of happy and joyful memories.

I am so very, very sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was such an inspiration to me, despite our November shock. But I am carrying forward Bob's and Bernie's message. And I was at the March on Saturday.....butI think Bob probably knows this already.
Your friendship has been a true treasure.

I knew Bob from Marcellus. We graduated in the same class. I remember him as being fun, kind and a genuinely lovely person. Rest well.
