Robert Ellsworth Carter

The family will receive friends Thursday August 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be in Bethel Baptist Church, Reva, VA Friday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00a.m. with Pastor Adam Meisberger conducting the service. His family will lay him to rest privately in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Betty Carter; his children, Roberta Carow, Robert Carter and his wife Kimberley, Carol Anne Tilton and her husband Mike and Robin Laurie McAllister and his brother Kenneth Carter and his wife Pat; ten grandchildren, Brittney Carow, Mathew Carter, Daniel Carter, Lauren Carter, Drew Adams, Bryan Tilton and his wife Erin, Jessica Blanton and her husband John, Michelle Tilton, Ryan McAllister and his wife Amy and Megan Wilkinson and her husband Christian; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ennis Carter and Nellie Jones Carter; his brothers, Mickey, Willie, Art and Clarence and his sisters Doris Waters and Shirley Kidwell.

Mr. Carter worked in the Fairfax County System. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Reva, VA; enjoyed staying active with yard work and hunting. His love of family and people was expressed in his teasing and humor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701.
