Roger Lee Corder, 79 of Culpeper went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 2, 1944 in Culpeper, VA to the late Leslie Garland Corder and Edith Crane. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leslie Carroll Corder and Dennis James Corder.
Roger was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, catching up with friends, and visiting Lancaster, PA..
Mr. Corder retired from VDOT after 39 ½ years working on the bridge crew, a foreman and other various positions. He started his career as a truck driver for the postal office, drove a school bus, and worked for Clatterbuck Construction. He never met a stranger and he loved woodworking.
Roger is survived by his wife Linda Corder of 53 years and two daughters Cathy Wise (Billy) and Crystal Hill (Chris). He is survived by five grandchildren Ashby Wise (Logan), Bernard Wise (Kara), Mary Wise, Anna Hill, and Nathaniel Hill and one great granddaughter Isla Wise. Roger is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Clore English Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior.
