Roger Alonzo Hartford, age 80, of Reva, Virginia passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025 at the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center with family members at his side. Roger was born March 21, 1945 in Lebanon, Maine to Wilfred Alonzo Hartford and Leona Baker Hartford.
Roger was the owner operator of Roger’s Reconditioning Shop since its creation in Center Ossipee, NH in 1976. After moving to Reva in 2014, he continued to enjoy working on all types of vehicles.
Roger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Z. Hartford and three daughters; Annette Rooney (and spouse Brian) of Rhode Island, Valerie Hartford of North Carolina and Bethany Hartford of Virginia, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are two of his sisters; Sylvia Peare and Marcia Hall, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his son, Todd Roger Hartford and two siblings, Louise Wentworth and Ernie Hartford.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
