Obituary of Roger Vincent Myers
Roger V. Myers “Took”, age 86, of Culpeper, Virginia passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Roger worked at the Virginia Department of Transportation for 40 years until he retired. Roger enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the many close friends he had in his life. Roger was an avid outdoorsman and loved to turkey and deer hunt. Roger also enjoyed gardening, going to the beach with his family, attending UVA and Redskins football games, and collecting beanie babies for all his family members. Roger was preceded in death by his son, Andy Myers, and his grandson, Ryan Myers. Roger is survived by his daughter, Sherry Thompson, her husband, L. Ashley Thompson, and his son, Jeff Myers. Roger also leaves behind his 4 granddaughters (Lindsey, Jessica, Kaleigh, and Briana) and 7 great grandchildren. The family will hold a private “Celebration of Life” in memory of Roger and asks that any donations made in Roger’s honor go towards the National Wild Turkey Federation (a legacy memorial giving). Hunting was a big part of Roger’s life and we know he would appreciate giving back to something he loved so much. Fond memories of Roger and condolences may be shared with the Myers family through clore-english.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701.
