Roy retired in 2011 after being self-employed as an electrician since 1981. Prior to that he worked his way from being a lineman to line foreman to management with Rappahannock Electric Co-operative, formerly known as Northern Piedmont Electric. Roy enjoyed tending honey bees for his fruit trees and going to auctions.
Roy is survived by his wife Margaret C. Seale; his son James (Jimmy) Seale and step-son Herman (Herby) Clore and his wife Karen; his sister, Claudia Seale Berry; his grandchildren, Lt. Col. Joe Seale and his wife Victoria, Tabitha Seale Weier and her husband Shawn, Alexis Clore Kleeman and her husband Sam and Becca Clore and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bertha Seale and his siblings, Robert Seale, Stella Lozano, Elaine Minnis, Gussy Litchford, Hazel Finks and Margaret Sours.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Friday, October 6, 2023 at Clore-English Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM (Noon) in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob Seale, Bill Seale, Allen Berry, Richard Dwyer, Jessie Wise and Mike Dugan
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland United Methodist Church, c/o Gloria Phillips, 11164 Cherry Hill Rd. Culpeper, Virginia 22701 or to the Hospice of the Piedmont.
The family is most grateful to the entire staff of The Culpeper, who cared for Roy as one of their own family during the past year of his life.
