Ruby Nadine Nickell, age 85, of Locust Grove, Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Born May 15, 1938 in Idaho to Alexander Nickell and Ruth Jolley Nickell, Ruby was a great prankster with a sweet, soft voice who loved music. Ruby was a true light who will be greatly missed.
Surviving relatives include her daughters Lana Porter (James) of Madison, VA, Lori McCloud (Stephen) of Orange, VA, daughter-in-law Mary Ann McCloud of Culpeper, VA, son-in-law Patrick Burke of Caliente, NV, sisters Lavona, Jeanne, Nancy, Janice and a brother Gail. Ruby also has sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, her daughter Patsy Ann Burke, sons Robert Randy McCloud, Sr., Robert Lee McCloud, Jr. and the father of her children, Robert Lee McCloud, Sr. preceded Ruby in death.
Graveside services in Panaca Cemetery, Ernst Road, Panaca, NV at a later date with Southern Utah Mortuary of Cedar City, UT handling.
