

Hospital Monday, November 5, 2012. Mr. Riner was born in Charlottesville, VA January 24, 1940 to
Lindsey Gordon Riner and Virginia McCleary. He was the owner of T.G. Riner Well Drilling in Brandy
Station, Virginia.
Mr.Riner was preceded in death by his father Lindsey Gordon Riner , his paternal grandparents Archie
A. and Cora Lee Riner and his grandson Blaine Christian Riner.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Patricia Ann Riner of Brandy Station, VA; his children, Archie Riner
and his wife Rhonda of Locust Dale, VA, Paige Riner and her husband Juan Saldana of Brandy Station,
VA, , Christina Woods and her husband Robert of Madison, VA and Glenn Riner and his wife Lauren of
Brandy Station, VA. He was Paw Paw to ten loving grandchildren: Kelly, Andrew, Jordan, Carley, Darian,
Corky, Lexi, Cora Paige, Hallie and Jimmy Riner.
Additional survivors include a brother, Ed Riner and his wife Iva of Rochester, Washington; two sisters
Virginia Watson and her husband Larry of Gordonsville, VA and Shirley Williams of Gordonsville, VA.
Two very special aunts Doris Foley and Louise Hoffman both of Gordonsville, VA., and a very dear
cousin Bobby Foley and his wife Alice of Gordonsville, VA
T.G is survived also by his faithful canine companion Maggie.
T.G. founded the well drilling business that bears his name in 1968 and remained the patriarch of the
family business until his death. He took great pride in his work and practiced a strong work ethic,
which will be continued by his family. T.G. also maintained deep ties to the community. He was a
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and showed his spirituality through his
service and compassion towards others. He was a man who loved his neighbor and it was evident to
everyone that he met. T.G. will be greatly missed by not only his family but by the community he loved
and served.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Foley, Robbie Foley, Donnie Foley, Cheyenne Foley, Powell O’Bannon, and
Gary Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will include Tony Cook, Gary Pearson, Jack Hawkins and John
Fotenos.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11: 00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints, 420 Willow Lawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with Bishop Henry officiating. Interment will
be at Hilllcrest Memorial Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA.
The family will receive friends, Friday, November 9, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 420 Willow Lawn Drive, Culpeper, VA
