

Graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the Corps of Cadets and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army at Fort Knox. Bill spent most of his engineering career working at Rappahannock Electric Company. He was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church, and the Culpeper Camp of Gideons International. He was an avid sportsman and award winning Trap Shooter for many years.
Bill is survived by two sisters Laura E. McClenny (Bobby, d.) and Cary Ann Garrette (Robert) both of Virginia; His son William David Carson II with wife Mary Katherine Futrell Carson of North Carolina; and daughter Louise Carson Driggers with husband John David Driggers of Virginia. Grandchildren include: Zachary, Adam, Jacob, Lauren (Davis), and Lydia.
Preceded in death by wives Betty Jean Bryant Carson, Margaret Ellen Powell Carson and grandson Phillip James Carson.
There will be a burial service held at 2:00 p.m on November 8 at family’s Hebron Baptist Church Cemetary in Appomattox.
