

William Halbert Trout, 82, of Brightwood, VA passed away August 7, 2021 at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. He was born January 14, 1939 in Tennessee to William Halbert Trout, Sr. and Leona Breeden Gardner. Mr. Trout served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado and retired from Cargill Flour after 25 years as a miller. Mr. Trout enjoyed hunting and loved his family.
Surviving Mr. Trout is his wife Brenda F. Trout; his children, Sherry Howington, Alice Cubbage and Randall Trout; his grandchildren, Kimberly Howington, Ricky Nelson Howington and Jonathan Cubbage; his great-grandchildren, Aalaya Penn, K’Lynn Penn, Elijah Penn and Oaklynn Penn and his sister, Wanda Shifflett, Mr. Trout is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clifton Thomas Gardener, Horace Arlie Gardener, his sister Carolyn Dover and his great-grandson Rayshawn Howington.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701. An interment date and time to be determined in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN.
