Adelia Insana

In loving memory of Adelia, “Dee” Insana, who died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the age of 91. She is survived by her three loving children, Arthur, and Lisa, of Woodland Hills, CA and Ron, daughter-in-law, Melinda and her three much-loved grandchildren, Emily, Thomas and Anna, of Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, her parents, Angelo and Louisa and siblings, Rosaline, Michael, Pauline and Albert, all of Buffalo, New York. She was born on March 20, 1925 to Angelo and Louisa Pilato. In her mid-forties, she returned to college and obtained a teaching degree and taught at three Catholic elementary schools in the San Fernando Valley, St. Francis De Sales School, St. John Baptist de la Salle School and Mary Immaculate School, until her retirement in 1997. In addition to teaching, she was passionate about English literature, history, poetry, politics, and most importantly, her children and grandchildren, to whom she showed immense and unending love.
