Dearest Maureen, Tommy and Michael,
I am so very sad to see that Alice passed away.  Your mom was such a wonderful spirit -- great sense of humor, warm, loving, and so much fun.  I love the picture that you have of her here and, of course, the ones with your sweet and handsome father, Hank.  I am crying as I write.

I remember your mother coming to Minnesota so many years ago, and how happy my dad was to see his baby sister again.  I will always remember them together that day.  You have deepest condolences.

Michael, Maureen and Tom  Your mother and I shared a special bond for nearly 50 years and all through the years it was evident she loved each of you very much. I am very grateful for her love and friendship and for how she loved Kristen. I understand your loss and hope that time heals your hearts.
