Armando was born on November 25, 1948 in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Philippines, to Aristedes and Juliana Deregla, and was the eldest of seven children. He shared close bonds with his siblings—Araceli, Roberto, Wenifreda, Edgar, Emily and Alvin—and carried his role as the oldest with quiet strength and responsibility.
On March 17, 1972, Armando married Buenaflor, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, commitment and family. Though she preceded him in death, their bond remained ever present.
Armando worked as a merchant marine from 1969 to 1972, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and connection to the sea.
In 1977, Armando immigrated to the United States, where Flora established their lives in Culver City, CA. They welcomed Marites in 1982 and Mark in 1985. He earned an associate degree in aeronautical engineering and spent his career as a warehouse supervisor at Nazdar West, a manufacturing company, where he was respected for his leadership and strong work ethic.
Armando loved dogs, the beach, and sharing Filipino food with family and friends. He dreamed of traveling the seven seas and was fortunate to experience five of them during his lifetime.
He is survived by his children, Marites and Mark, as well as his siblings, extended family, and all who were fortunate to know him.
