Dave was my beloved big brother in Alpha Phi Omega fraternity at CSUN. Thought of him today and unfortunately came across his obituary 

Dear Denise and Justin, 

I am not sure how much my words of sympathy will help, but I do know with time and the wonderfully touching and meaningful memories you have of Dave and the ways you shared life together will guide you through. Denise and Justin-
I know you are a very close family.  That makes David's abscence harder, but that closeness, in the past and for the two of you now, is a treasure and, I hope, a comfort. I'm sorry that a "bug" will keep me from tonight's services, but I am thinking of you, as I have been these many weeks.  Denise, I miss you and hope to see you soon.

David was one of the most remarkable people I have ever met. He was loved by so many. Despite his impairment, he lived life to its fullest, kept his sense of humor, and was such an inspiration to the many people in his life. Remember, he is not gone. He has left only this world. We are very sorry for your loss.  Dave was a good husband, father and friend. There were many times Dave came to the Hollywood Bowl to hear the music and help with the binocular concession. Dave's knowledgeable advice about software for the business saved Robert money and time.  Dave entertained us with stories about Justin and Boy Scout trips. He shared his insights and hard-earned experience with those around him. His achievements encouraged Elizabeth to hire a sight-impaired assistant at the CSU. We know you will miss him, as will we all.  You are in our thoughts and our hearts.

To the Weddle Family,
I would just like to express my deepest sympathy regarding the loss of Mr. Weddle,I worked with your husband and father for a long time.  There was never a time I would call Mr. Weddle for assistance and not feel the smile, compassion and dedication he had in doing his job.  This department will never be able to fill his shoes, for he will be truly missed.

Dear Denise and Justin,

My family and I want to express our sorry for the loss of Dave.  

On my first visit to California with mom and dad when I was a young boy in the mid '60s he took me to the beach for my first ever visit to an ocean in his Corvair, driving barefoot (which I thought was very cool), and helped me build my first official sand castle.  I will sadly miss my cousin and our most recent discussions about our proud genealogical heritage and the 'antics' of our grandfather.  

Dave was an inspiration to me; I was always proud of him and will continue to brag about him on how he enjoyed life.
