

Dominic Santogrossi passed away at the age of 91 on May 28, 2015 in Northridge, CA. Shortly thereafter on October 1, 2015, his wife, Phyllis Santogrossi passed away at the age of 89 in Northridge, CA.
Dominic was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 15, 1923 and is the son of Venturino and Jennie Santogrossi who were immigrants from Italy. He was the older brother to Edmund. Dominic received his engineering degree from Cooper Union in 1945. He had a successful career as the President of such firms as Litton Industries.
Phyllis was born in Freeport, Illinois on January 30, 1926 and is the daughter of Ferdinand and Lucille Hutton. Phyllis had one older brother, Robert Hutton, and has one surviving younger sister, Sally Glass. Phyllis received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio in the year 1948. In 1952, she and Dominic were married and soon after started their family.
Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings and was happiest when she was with her children - John, Tom, Julie, Paul, Mary, Greg and David. The grandchildren, Teresa, Michael, Robert, Lauren, Brett, Gregg, Mackenzie, and Tanner, provided extra special joy in her life. The circle of life added seven great grandchildren –Rocco, Lily, Mia, Caleb, Katie, Fiona, and Landon.
Dominic and Phyllis were married for 63 years and shared the love of their family, collecting and repairing clocks, playing the piano, and gardening. Dominic enjoyed learning languages while Phyllis had a great love for sewing.
They are forever at peace in God’s heaven.
