

Frank “Hank” Masters passed away on November 18, 2014 a couple months after his 107th Birthday. He was born on July 22, 1907 to Joseph and Rose Masters. Frank was raised in Detroit, Michigan along with two brothers, Fred and Jim and two sisters, Ann and Mary. Frank was married in 1940 to Florence Staconis. They spent 52 happy years together and they had two daughters, Louise DuBois and Marlette Cooksey as well as 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Frank also has 2 “adopted” grandchildren with 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild with whom he was very close to. After his wife Florence passed away Frank had a special companion of 18 years, Mosena “Bo” Edwards.
Frank worked for Chrysler Corporation while in Detroit and worked for Central Refrigeration and Appliance in California for 27 years. He could fix just about anything and was very talented. When he was a young man he was an entertainer and played music in local clubs. He had a wonderful sense of humor and when asked what his secret was to his long healthy life he would say, “One, keep breathing. Two, eat lots of spaghetti. Three, use olive oil on your salads. And four, keep your sense of humor”. He loved to laugh and kept everyone around him laughing as well, his laugh was contagious. His stories were out of this world. He had so many that he could tell stories for hours.
Frank is survived by his daughter Louise, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his spouse Florence and his companion “Bo”. Also predeceased by his siblings, Jim, Fred, Ann and Mary and his daughter Marlette.
He was a very special Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and friend. His heart was pure and his Love was never ending. Frank will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
