A Life Well Lived
Our dearly beloved "Papa", Deacon Frederick Alphanso Newell, also known as Brother Edward. Frederick Newell was born on March 26, 1925 in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. He was one of five children born to Deacon Arnold Newell and Hilda Clark. Unfortunately, all three sisters of his has predeceased him, however, his only brother Boysie Newell Frederick attended the Ludford Mount School at Bois Content. He left Bois Content and went to live in Crawl Past Clarendon. Papa was baptized at an incredibly young age in his 20s. He attended the Ludford Mount Baptist Church of Bois Content where he served faithfully. He loves God and his church, and he takes pleasure in carrying out the Great Commission of the Lord. As Papa told us that God already started this work with his dear Dad many, many, years ago and after he passed on, Mr. Frederick Newell picked up where he left off and he himself continued to make disciples for Christ by witnessing to the lost souls, and he got them to accept the Lord. He prayed for the sick, fed the hungry, and we will keep you in our hearts and we will remember you each and every day of our lives your legacy will truly live on in our hearts our beloved Papa. He is survived by his loving, caring wife Gertrude Newell (who he loves dearly), seven daughters, four sons, one brother Boysie, He left behind 32 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, other relatives, sons in law, daughters-in-law, and nieces, nephews, and one brother Boysie.
