

Dick Nash, who was a much-beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and brother, passed away peacefully at his home on June 11, 2013, surrounded by his family and very close friends, who are considered family. He had bravely confronted and fought a year-long battle with Amyloidosis. He never complained and was very courageous.
Dick is survived by his wife, Eileen, son Stephen and wife Sunny, daughter Jennifer and husband Shawn Boll. Grandchildren Nathan and Jonathan Nash, and Evan and Vanessa Boll. Brother Gerald and wife Sue, nephews Todd, Jason and wife Alisha, great niece Taylor, great nephews Koa and Merrick Nash.
Dick and Eileen were married for forty-four years. She felt honored and privileged to be married to a husband who was loving, sincere, and whose integrity was beyond reproach. They had a wonderful life together raising their children and spending time with their grandchildren. He was also fortunate to have many great friends in his life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Dick was born in San Diego, California, and attended Crawford High School. He went to Oregon State University where he obtained a BS degree in Forestry. He was in the Navy from 1964 - 1966 as a yeoman on an oiler based in the Philippines. He loved sports, camping, photography, reading, and jazz music.
Dick worked for BICA (Building Industry Credit Association) from 1972 - 2008 and served as President from 1979 - 2006. He enjoyed his work where he was well admired and respected.
A memorial service to honor Dick will be held at Gates Kingsley Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22nd, at 1:00. The address is 4220 South Sepulveda Blvd., in Culver City.
