JANET MARIE WAGES was born in Roscoe, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1923. She and her three sisters attended Charleroi High School where she was elected Homecoming Queen. She moved to Los Angeles in 1943, to be with her sister, Sara. During WWII, she was very active in the Hollywood Canteen/USO. She worked as a secretary at the RKO and other studios during the 1940’s and 1950’s. She married David Wages, a film editor, in January, 1948, and they had one son, William. She spent a number of years working as a homemaker and raising her son. Later she worked as a private secretary until her retirement. She remained active and was a member of the Screen Smart Set. She attended and was an active member of the Cathedral Chapel since the early 1960’s. She is survived by her son, William, by a number of nieces and nephews and by many friends.
