Janice Rae Quinn, a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2024, just days before her 88th birthday. She was born on November 13, 1936, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Clem and Evelyn. Janice was a lifelong resident of Los Angeles and spent her life surrounded by family, friends, and the faith she held dear.
Janice was married to her beloved husband, Thomas Quinn, until his passing. Their love was a cornerstone of her life, and she was often heard speaking of him with affection and gratitude.
Janice raised two children, Rock Armstrong and Kim Ann Spirtos and was also the proud grandmother of two cherished grandchildren, Jayson and Sage, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Over the years, Thomas Quinn’s family has been a constant source of support for Janice and her loved ones. In particular, his children—Mary Bean, Elizabeth Peterson, and Bobby Quinn—along with their families. Mary Bean, Tom’s eldest daughter, has been particularly involved, with her husband George and their daughter Colleen, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Janice had a variety of passions, each of which brought her joy. She was a devoted fan of college football, particularly the USC Trojans, and could often be found cheering for her team with boundless enthusiasm. Her love of flowers was evident in her admiration for roses, which she enjoyed collecting and surrounding herself with, always finding joy in their beauty.
Janice was also known for her exceptional holiday spirit, especially at Christmas, when she transformed her home into a festive wonderland with decorations that spread warmth and joy to all who visited.
In addition to her other interests, Janice was an avid viewer of Dancing with the Stars, where she found delight in watching the elegance and grace of ballroom dancers. Her vibrant personality and love for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
Janice is survived by her son Rock Armstrong and 2 grandchildren Jayson and Sage.
She was greeted at Heaven's gates by her husband, Thomas Quinn; her daughter, Kim Ann Spirtos; and her parents, Clem and Evelyn.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and medical professionals who provided compassionate care in her final days. Janice will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will forever be remembered for her kindness, faith, and the joy she shared with all who knew her.
