Thanks for the great memories at our dog park with Dex and with Sam.  You were a great next mom to Sam.  Great friend to all of us lovely lady!

I met Joanne in 1970,  when we both worked for Flying Tigers.   Together with Joan, we were a daily lunch buddy threesome.    We liked to go to La Paz Mexican Restaurant in El Segundo and after lunch we'd stop by by The Wet Seal to browse at the  new clothing arrivals.  Young working  girls being girls. 

 "We didn't realize we were making Memories.  We just knew we were having fun."  Pooh      

We loved going to Flying Tiger Line functions together...especially Interline parties where we always hoped to win a free airline pass to somewhere wonderful in the world.

Joanne was beautiful, bright, fun and had a wonderful sense of humor.   

When  her husband, Mike, the love of her life, died in May 1972,   
 I moved in with Joanne in Culver City.  I was single ..and I could and I did for a year.

Every morning as we got ready for work she played this song  ..and I find it appropriate for today....

"I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way

Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright, bright, bright sun shiny day"

Good by my Forever Friend of 51 years. ..Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel.

And, don't forget...on December 11, Joan and I will call each other to wish you a  very Happy Birthday.  And, on January 17, I know you will find a way to remind me of Joan's Birthday as you have done for so many years.

More memories: Joanne and I traveled extensively to Europe usually going standby on TWA,  Pan Am.

I remember her staging stuff on top of her car and not remembering that it was there, i.e  tennis shoes and a pie.

I also remember how talented she was at golf, tennis and real estate brokering. 

I met Joanne in 1969 when she worked at Flying Tigers. Met her on her first day. When I moved to Colorado in 1981, we still remained close. Would come to stay with her on a regular basis. Lots of Scrabble playing and wine. She was the two letter word champion. Last time I saw her was in n2016. We have stayed connected via text after that. 
I will never forget her calling me on my birthday and singing the birthday song in Marilyn Monroe style. 
She will be missed. 

I only knew Joanne because we both walked a lot in our Cheviot Hills neighborhood and somehow over the last three or four decades we had a casual acquaintanceship. We always exchanged a few words. Loved running into her and her dogs. I always thought she was one of the loveliest,  most elegant and  beautiful women I had ever come across. I shall miss her.


Joanne was a dear sister in law and so much a part of my family. She was a close friend and support to me, to Doug,  and always enjoyed our children.  I loved our friendship and I was so pleased to also work with her in our common real estate careers.  I could always depend on her honesty and loyalty. We always had a lots of fun together.  So many times sitting together laughing and chatting.  I will miss her. 

I have such fond memories of Joanne, dear friend of my sister Rosanne. Joanne & Rosanne’s long-lasting friendship endured until Rosanne’s death three years ago. Joanne was there for Rosanne during those many trips to UCLA for her cancer treatment, for which I and my sisters are so very grateful!

I stayed with Joanne several times when I had appointments in LA and always enjoyed walking her dogs with her and her hospitality. Regardless of what life threw her way, she would bounce back. And, she never lost that attractive, almost sensual, air that was part of her make-up.

We have the memories and will smile!
