September 2nd, 2020 at the age of 61.
His countless stories and fascinatingly eccentric knowledge of historical,
mythological, and cinematic trivia will be remembered fondly by his two
daughters, wife of 32 years, and extended family.
While he could make some of the best fresh squeezed orange juice and
pancakes you could ever want, Joel also favored some creatively bizarre
culinary preferences. Sorry dad, as much as we miss you, we still don’t
think cold artichoke hearts and capers have any business being added to
pizza.
Joel’s dedication to working hard was only surpassed by the love he had
for his family.
Joel was a strong man, a selfless provider, who loved cheap diner food,
rainy autumn evenings, big band music and most of all, being an
amazing dad.
Engineer, businessman, referee, book narrator, big brother, husband,
father, friend. Whichever way he’s remembered, Joel continues
providing happy memories for those he loved.
