Mark Anthony Kemenovich, born March 18 1948, and passed on May 21, 2022, after a prolonged illness. Mark affectionately known as “Wally”, influenced many lives. Even when he felt bad, his wit and charm touched all those who knew him.
Wally’s various jobs included that of a Park Ranger, Heavy Mortar Platoon Seargent and Division Operations Seargent at the United States Navy, and Border Patrol Agent. From June of 1966 through March of 1971, he served as a Scout Sniper in the United States Marine Corps. During his two tours in Vietnam, he earned three (3) Purple Hearts (he told us he forgot to duck), and a Bronze Star reflecting his sacrifice, bravery and honor while serving his country. His Exposure to “agent orange” contributed to his health issues going forward.
Mark graduated from UCLA in 1975 and attended CSUSB as well as William and Mary College pursuing post graduate work. He is survived by, loved, and missed by his sister, Marcy Rittel, two nieces Michelle Rittel. and Jeanie Amaya, two great-nieces Kayla Perez, and Giselle Amaya, along with many friends and families.
We have loved and will miss Wally.
