I have such fond memories of Mary - she was a genuinely caring person who always strived to achieve the best, whatever the situation.
I'm so glad to have met her and I get to keep fond memories of her with me always!

Mary Herman was a lovely person who brought empathy and humanity to her work in the soulless world of technology.  Both in her childhood (which she told me about) and her adult working life (which I observed firsthand) she could confront even the most toxic people with a disarming calmness.  Mary's small kindnesses are a lost art these days, and the good that she brought to this world was more than she ever realized.

I first met Mary when she was the Project Manager for the Pilat project at Fox.  Since that time we became good friends and I truly respected and appreciated her personality, work ethic, and humor.  We spent countless weekdays on the job that included long days, meetings, discussions and each day usually started with conversations at breakfast, included lunch and ended with dinner.  Over the years I gained a friendship with Mary which lasted after she left the project.  From time to time one of us would call the other just to “catch up”, a term she always used when texting me!  She was genuinely interested in my family and always referred to my wife and kids by their names, asking details about their special interests, and our conversations typically reverted to any one of our pets, especially Jonah! I looked forward to her Christmas cards as I know how special they were to her and how proud she was to send them each year. 
  
As I look back, I believe that each of us cross paths for a reason regardless of how long or short our journeys last - Mary was here for me so we could share, learn, grow, laugh and to help with new things that had never been done before.  We helped each other but, most of all I believe, she helped me.

Mary was the client Project Manager for my very first assignment in my IT consultant job, she would always be attentive to all the finer details to ensure that new people were made to feel welcome to the FOX project.
Her energy & passion for quality end results for the client was infectious & inspirational. Mary's stories were always a pleasure to listen to & her acts of kindness bought a lovely 'human' element to a project with many corporate agendas.
In an attempt to clean my room in Sydney recently, I came across one of Mary's Christmas cards that she had sent over the years - it was a great reminder of her dedication to keep in touch with all the people in her life.
It was truly a pleasure to have crossed paths with you Mary, rest in peace.

Mary, we met during my time on the FOX project; you were a delight to be around. You were always so dedicated to your work; the first in and last to leave on the red eye flight back to Jonah. You would always send Christmas cards without fail with a kind, personalised messages each time - I recall finding these in my pigeon hole at work even after I left Fox. I loved your jewellery collection; it was just divine! ...Particularly your brooch collection during the holiday season - the Christmas tree was one of my favourites along with all your beautiful rings :) 
I'm really sad to hear you are no longer with us but hope you are resting in peace and proud of all your achievements.

Mary was a dear friend and co worker from the Fox/Pilat project. All of us loved Mary for her sense of humor, commitment, wonderful stories to share, meals, travel experiences.  One story to share...each evening Mary had to write a quick update on daily progress back to corporate. This was a chore she hated but the update was a necessary evil that all of us particpated in its creation. The update could be short or long, very detailed and always caused more issues from those who received it. It became a joke to write the "love, Mary" update before we could leave for the evening and dinner. So here it is the end of our day and time for the update for all to read, LOVE to MARY
