She was the youngest of three, her brother’s Emilio and Roberto preceded her in death. She had her first child Edgardo followed by the birth of Zonia, Guillermo, Silvia and Yanira. Mirian immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1972. She soon met and married Harry Miranda and had a happy marriage until his passing in 1994. Eventually, thanks to her efforts, all her children immigrated to the United States and went on to marry and have their own families.
Mirian was an avid reader; she was hardly ever without a book. She liked listening to music, dancing and loved to travel and had many opportunities to do so. Later in life, she found joy in participating in activities in a Senior Center where she made new friends. But mostly she enjoyed to be surrounded by her children, grand children and great grandchildren. Mirian’s legacy is her family and the work ethic and values she taught all of us. She is survived by her 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 4 nephews and their families. Her family and friends will forever remember her and miss her.
