

May 12, 1942-December 19,2015. On Saturday , December 19, 2015 the gates of heaven where our lord Jesus Christ have been patiently waiting have invited one of his angels to join him. Norma Soriano passed away peacefully in Torrance California due to complications of breast cancer. She is survived by Syd, her loving husband of 37 years and her children, Henry, Emerson, Eddie and Arvin. She was blessed with five grandchildren; Matthew, Eva, Andrew, Elijah and Charlise. Norma was born on May 12, 1942 in Binmaley Pangasinan, Philippines. Norma and Syd raised their family and resided in Carson California for 28 years. Norma received her bachelors degree in Education at the University of the East, Philippines. Couple of years later she was teaching at Dagupan Colleges Library Sciences where later on she became a Chief Librarian. She also worked as a Librarian at a dental library at the University of the East, Philippines. Norma had a great love of music especially the piano, and was also a talented cook, who loves to create different dishes. Also, she always loves to take care all of her eclectic array of plants that surrounds her home. But most importantly, the unconditional love that she showed to all her grandchildren, which she always make an effort to see her grandchildren's school and extracurricular activities because it always gives her joy and smile seeing each and everyone of them. As a mother and a grandmother she defines and graced us all with thoughtfulness, kindness, gentle spirit and generosity of giving priceless love to all of us. Furthermore, she always thinks of others before herself and that's how she touches everyone's lives, an unselfish trait that will carry on forever. Her beautiful presence will surely be missed. The Viewing services will be on December 28 and December 29 @ 3 to 8 pm and the funeral services celebrating her incredible life will be on December 30 from 11am to 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery 5835 West Slauson avenue, Culver City Ca. 90230
