Rowena Ann Lopez was born on March 23, 1951 in Santa Monica, California. She was the second of six children born to Christina Aguilar and Conception Nunez. She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings Rudy, Dolores, Danny; her husband Mario Lopez and her grandson Benny Rosas.
Rowena is survived by her siblings Connie, Jenny, Michelle, Jessie; her children Mario, George, Christina, Carlos, Esther, Rocio, Gabriel; her grandchildren Mario, Mark, Victoria, Kasandra, Mary, Raul “Pebble”, Raymon, Analysa, Daniel, Amanda, Adriana, Angelica, Aleah, Audree, Alissa, Tommy, Giselle, Alfonso, Salvador, Beto, Jose, Eliana, Noelia; her great grandchildren Vincent, Julian, Angel, Jeremiah, Aubrii, Benjamin, Kailyn, Hayden, Faby and many other close family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Rowena was raised in Venice, California and attended Venice High School. She lived in the Los Angeles area for many years raising her children and worked as a telephone operator and bookkeeper at JC Penney in Culver City and Neutrogena in Inglewood. She had a talent and love for sewing and cooking. There was so much love in every meal she made and every dress or curtain she sewed for her family and friends.
She is remembered as a kind, loving, giving and selfless woman who gave all she had to her family to be sure they always had enough. She loved God. She prayed for her loved ones nightly. She prayed that they would be happy, fulfilled, safe and well taken care of.
Her most recent years in Bullhead City, Arizona she was named the President of the People’s Program and received awards of appreciation for inspiring others to be happy.
One fond memory her grandchildren have is of her dancing with them. She loved to dance and in their words… may she rest in peace and continue to dance with the angels.
