

Teresita Berndes was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba on August 4, 1935 to parents Eusebio Adrian Aymerich and Felipa Pared Aymerich. Teresita married Joaquin F. Berndes and had two children, Teresita Berndes-Carlson and Joaquin G. Berndes.
Teresita attended Havana's Colegio del Apostolado through her school years and then came to the U.S.A. with her family in 1968 where she lived and worked as a banker in Miami, Florida for most of her life. She had formal piano training as a young adult, excelled at it, and loved to play a variety of classical and contemporary piano pieces, all from memory. She also enjoyed painting with oil on canvas and dancing to salsa and other traditional Latin dance styles.
Teresita was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joaquin F. Berndes. She is survived by her daughter, Teresita Berndes-Carlson and son-in-law, Nathan Carlson; her son, Joaquin G. Berndes and daughter-in-law, Emmy Berndes; her brother, Adrian Aymerich, Jr. and her granddaughters, Jacqueline Elizabeth Berndes and Veronica Laura Berndes.
