TOMIKA SHANTE JONES
Tomika Shante Sanders was born on February 7th, 1971 to Earl Sanders and L’Tanya Denise Morrison in Los Angeles, California. Tomika loved both of her parents dearly. Tomika attended St. Francis Cabrini school and St. Michaels where she found her love for the Lord. While attending both schools she lived with her Aunt Barbara, her grandmother, and her two cousins Miko and Michael.
Tomika attended Morningside High School, where she lived with her Grandmother Dorothy and her cousins Jovonna, Imani, and Tereka. Tomika received her diploma later in life and attended Victor Valley College. Tomika also attended Chaffey College where she graduated from the Chaffey College CNA program. Tomika found her love for nursing from her Aunt Barbara, Tomika would always say she wanted be a nurse like her Aunt Barbara.
Tomika worked as a CNA for Pilgrim Place, Sunlit Gardens, and her dream job Casa Colina Hospital all while attending Northwest Colleges LVN program to become a Nurse. Tomika was headed to making her dreams come true until she was diagnosed with ALS.
Tomika was the mother to three lovely children Tiera, Levonte, and Jonathan, whom she loved with all of her heart. Tomika was T-ma to her 2 grandsons Jaiden and Julian and loved them more than they would know.
Tomika met the love of her life Travis Jones in 1996 and they where married in Las Vegas, NV in May of 1997. Tomika loved boxing, music, cooking, singing and her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Tomika, Travis, Tiera, Levonte, and Jonathan were all baptized at Potters House Church in Fontana, CA.
On February 2nd, 2020 the Lord decided he wanted his Angel to come back home where she belonged. Tomika was preceded in death by her mother L’Tanya Denise Morrison Lewis.
Tomika leaves behind her husband Travis Jones, her daughter Tiera (Mitchell), her two sons Levonte and Jonathan, her grandsons Jaiden and Julian. Her sisters Dorothy, Meahsha, Lexus and her brother Terrance. Her nieces Kiome, Amaya, Maleah, and her nephew Mason. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
