The fourth of 5 children ( Jim, Dick, Don, Wilma Jean and her only sister Lewanna. ) and the last to survive.
Raised in Culver City, Calif. She was crowned Miss Culver City at one point. She graduated from Venice High School in 1952.
She met John, the love of her life at 13 and was given a ring at 14 which her father James Stryker Moffett, immediately gave back. After John returned from Korea they were married. Wilma was 17. They were married for 66 years.
Her oldest son, Johnny was born in 1953 and youngest, James was born in 1960. Between them were Kenny, Roy and her only daughter Kathy. That’s 5 kids in 7 years. That meant 5 teenagers in the house !
Loved, loved, loved her 12 grandchildren; Amanda, Natalie, Ryan, Betsy-Jean, Charlie, Mike, Noah, Chris, Dan, Joyce, Bridget, Noël & all of their significant others. 2 Great-grandchildren; Reef and Nathan.
She took up Tole painting (Scandinavian folk art) in her later life and excelled at it. She also loved to travel.
She will be missed but never forgotten!!
