Fernande (Cormier) Bérubé

Native de Saint-André, N.-B., Fernande et son mari, feu Gaston Bérubé, ont exploité Gerry's Canteen à Dalhousie pendant 40 ans. Elle a passé ses années de retraite à Charlo, où elle aimait vivre une vie tranquille avec son fils Yves et son épouse Dawna.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Nicole (Pierre Bissonnette), Yves (Dawna Vickery) et Louise (Thomas Frank), ses petits-enfants Joshua (Irene Costamis), Nicholas (Lynette Jansen), Matthew et Paul Frank. Elle était très fière d'avoir vécu jusqu'à un âge où il a pu connaître ses arrière-petits-enfants, Ethan, Alexi, Maximus, Emma et Samantha.

Fernande était la fille aînée de feu Armand et Alma Cormier. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs, Clovis (Jeannine Durepos), Gilles (feu Lise Powers), Claudette (feu Patrice Beaulieu), Armande (feu Yvon Beaulieu), Claude (feu Corine Landry et sa compagne Cécile Méthot), Micheline, Jacqueline (Peter Shellenburg), Jocelyne (Eric Pierce) et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Elle est prédécédée par deux frères, Mario Cormier et Guy Cormier, et trois sœurs, Gaëtane Givskud, Marielle Albert et Giselle Dubé-Lizotte.

Elle manquera beaucoup à sa famille et à ses amis.

Un service au cimetière aura lieu au Cimetière de St-Jean Bosco le Jeudi 28 Juillet 2022 à 10h00.

Des dons au choix du donateur seraient appréciés par la famille.

It is with great sadness that we commemorate the life of Fernande Bérubé who passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 14, 2022, at the age of 89.

A native of Saint-André, N. B., Fernande and her husband, the late Gaston Bérubé, operated Gerry’s Canteen in Dalhousie for 40 years. She spent her retirement years in Charlo, where she enjoyed living a quiet life with her son Yves and his wife Dawna.

She is survived by her children Nicole (Pierre Bissonnette), Yves (Dawna Vickery) and Louise (Thomas Frank), grandchildren Joshua (Irene Costamis), Nicholas (Lynette Jansen), Matthew, and Paul Frank. She was very proud to have lived to an age where he was able to get to know her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alexi, Maximus, Emma, and Samantha.

Fernande was the eldest daughter of the late Armand and Alma Cormier. She is survived by her siblings, Clovis (Jeannine Durepos), Gilles (late Lise Powers), Claudette (late Patrice Beaulieu), Armande (late Yvon Beaulieu), Claude (late Corine Landry and partner Cécile Méthot), Micheline, Jacqueline (Peter Shellenburg), Jocelyne (Eric Pierce) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Mario Cormier, and Guy Cormier, and three sisters, Gaëtane Givskud, Marielle Albert, and Giselle Dubé-Lizotte.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the St. John Bosco Cemetery on Thursday July 28th at 10am.

Donations to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
