Germain worked initially at the NBIP in Dalhousie and later became a Rena Ware dealer, selling stainless steel pots and pans throughout the Acadian peninsula. His success as a salesman led him to win many trips around the world.
Germain is predeceased by his parents, Alphonse J. Lavoie and Marie Luce Levesque, his sisters Madeleine and Rachel, and his brothers, Alban, Raymond and Renaud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Laura Christie, his daughter Danica (Martin), his son Pierre (Tiffany), and his precious grandchildren Zoe and Alexander.
Germain will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral mass will be held at the St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, Friday October 20th at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
