C’est avec tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de notre maman Gertrude St-Pierre, épouse de feu Arthur St-Pierre, qui nous a quittés paisiblement le mardi 14 juillet 2020 à l’âge de 108 ans, au domicile de sa fille Suzanne. Elle demeurait à Moncton après avoir passé la majeure partie de sa vie à Dalhousie.
Née le 16 décembre 1911, elle était la fille de feu Georges Godin et de feu Bridget-Ann Hickey.
D’une nature généreuse et enjouée, Gertrude était très sociable. Très active dans le domaine du bénévolat, elle aimait la danse, jouer aux cartes et elle aimait passer beaucoup de temps en famille et avec ses amies.
Elle laisse dans le deuil trois fils : Ted (Jacqueline Fitzsimmons), Georges (Justine Normandeau), Terry (Roselyn Elsliger) ; quatre filles : Anne (Robert Paradis), Suzanne (Don Guitard), Pauline (Donald Gagné) et Lise (Chris Boudreau) ; 16 petits-enfants, 20 arrière-petits-enfants, 6 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants, et sa famille élargie. Deux fils, Georges et Coleman, trois frères, Alexandre, Francis et Alfred, ainsi que 7 soeurs - Marie-Alice, Ruby, Opale, Delphine, Cécile, Bertha et Rose -, sont décédés antérieurement.
Les funérailles auront lieu à l’église Saint Jean Baptiste de Dalhousie, vendredi le 21 août à 14h00. En raison des restrictions de Covid-19, l'Église vont accepter un maximum de 70 personnes, donc pour assister aux funérailles, vous devez appeler au bureau de l'église et vous inscrire au 506-684-3292.
Les visites au Salon funéraire Maher, Dalhousie, 421, rue Victoria, Dalhousie, vendredi de 12h30 jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. En raison des protocoles de distanciation sociale, un nombre limité de personnes seront autorisées en même temps au salon funéraire.
À la mémoire de Mme St-Pierre, des dons à l’organisme de votre choix seraient appréciés.

Passed away at her daughter Suzanne’s residence, on July 14, 2020 at the age of 108, Gertrude St-Pierre of Dalhousie, NB, wife of late Arthur St-Pierre. She lived in Moncton after spending most of her life in Dalhousie.
Born December 16, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Georges Godin and the late Bridget-Ann Hickey.
Gertrude was a sociable person, liked to dance, play cards and bingo. She did volunteer work for various organizations. Always positive and generous, she enjoyed the company of family and friends.
She is survived by three sons: Ted (Jacqueline Fitzsimmons), Georges (Justine Normandeau), Terry (Roselyn Elsliger); four daughters: Anne (Robert Paradis), Suzanne (Don Guitard), Pauline (Donald Gagné) and Lise (Chris Boudreau); 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and her extended family. She was predeceased by two sons: Georges and Coleman; three brothers: Alexandre, Francis and Alfred; seven sisters: Marie-Alice, Bertha, Ruby, Delphine, Cécile, Opale and Rose.
The funeral mass will take place at Saint Jean Baptiste church in Dalhousie on Friday August 21 at 2pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Church will accept a maximum of 70 people, so to attend the funeral, you must call the church office and register at 506-684-3292.
Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, 421 Victoria Street, Dalhousie, Friday from 12:30 pm until funeral Time. Due to social distancing protocols, there will be a limited amount of people allowed in the Funeral Home at one time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the donor’s choice.
