Gildard Joseph Blanchard

Born in Dalhousie on December 4, 1935, son of the late Frank Blanchard and the late Clementine Duguay.

He worked for NBIP for many years as a millwright until retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and driving around enjoying our beautiful scenery.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his daughter Darlene (Frank) MacLean of Dalhousie; his son Claude (Helene) Blanchard of Chute a Blondeau; his daughter Lynn of Montreal; his son David (Jessica) of Fredericton; one brother, Wallace (Rejeanne) Blanchard of Dalhousie and a sister, Viney (Bill) Clarke of Dalhousie; his grandchildren, Shana, Sari, Erica, Jeffrey, Michael and Lisa and great grandchildren Bella and Huxley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Walter and his sister Nola.

Funeral Service will be held at Maher's Funeral Home, 421 Victoria St., Dalhousie, Friday June 18 at 2:00 pm and will be by invitation only.

Visitations at Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie, Friday from 1:00 pm until time of service and all are welcome.

Donations to a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
