Born in Dalhousie on May 11, 1944, daughter of the late John Hanley and the late Deline Doucet.
She worked as an LPN for 33 years at the St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie and will be remembered for her dedication to her patients and their families. She was also active in her community and will be sadly missed by friends, family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ranny Rankin; her son, Troy (Mona) Rankin of Sussex and son, Tracy (Laura) Rankin of Dalhousie. Brother, Joe Hanley and twin-sister, Judy Tribe, and sisters Frances Gagnon, Kathleen Lincoln, Theresa Marion, her grandchildren, Christine, Kyle and Sara, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her siblings John “Jackie” Hanley Jr, Cele Savoy, Arthur Hanley, Louise Levesque, Thomas Hanley, Michael Hanley.
Funeral Service will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on Tuesday October 20th at 11:00 am. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols, the service will be by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
